To meet the demand for life science & healthcare professionals, Barton & Malow was contracted to build a 3 storey, 81,000SF building on the Gwinnett Tech campus. This space is the home to labs, classrooms, lecture halls and faculty offices. Shumate Mechanical was contracted to install the chilled hot water system to condition the space. Equipment installed included 3 air handling units, 2 RBI boilers, 4 Patterson pumps, 7 split systems, unit heaters, terminal air units and variable frequency drives. The Direct Digital Controls on this project were installed by Frazier Service Company. This project achieved Gold LEED certification.
