In 2006 the Vought Aircraft Industry (now the Triumph Aerostructures-Vought Aircraft Division) looked to Shumate Mechanical to update some of their buildings' HVAC equipment. This global production plant located in Milledgeville, GA need to replace failing roof top equipment with units that would maintain space temperature and humidity. Work begun with the reclaim of refrigerant from the condemned units that were then crane removed for disposal. The replacement equipment included 3 Munters units and 1 York Roof Top Unit that were crane set on new roof curbs. To complete the install, Test & Balance was performed and the Shumate Prep & Start Up team commissioned the equipment to ensure that all was running as designed.
