Medical Office Building
This Medical Office Building, built as a joint venture between Beck Construction and Dexter Construction, is located in Gainesville, Georgia. The Shell Construction ran concurrently with Tenant Construction due to the fast track nature of the project. The Medical Center will have diagnostic centers, re-habilitation centers, and clinics all with very special HVAC needs handled during Tenant Construction. The construction schedule for this project was very aggressive with strict deadlines. Shumate Mechanical was able to complete Shell Construction and Tenant up fit construction in less than 3 months. Several of the Tenants at Guillford Mill required special HVAC Controls. For example, Shumate Mechanical installed a Johnson Controls Environmental Control System for one tenant. The majority of the HVAC Control, though, were stand-alone including centralized safety shut-down and in-duct smoke detectors.
